We’re starting Christmas a little earlier than usual this year so as to avoid clashing with ‘Simply Christmas’ in town, where many of our favourites are also exhibiting from the week after. But we do think there is something special about being able to kick start Christmas and the Christmas shopping in our intimate setting.
Shopping doesn’t get more comfortable than this!
Who’s going to be there?
Abi Overland
We’re delighted to welcome Abi back. She wasn’t able to make it last year due to other commitments, but the fact is, she’s one of the most important local artists featured in the hotel.
Abi’s illustrations adorn all our bedroom walls and hotel corridors, and we just can’t get enough of her work!
Prana Health & Wellbeing
We’re very excited that Emma Mathew will be making her debut at the market this year! Emma launched her treatment room at The Moorings earlier this year, and we couldn’t be happier to have her in house.
You’ll be able to see the treatment room on the night. She’ll also have her own blended oils and gift vouchers available. If you’re lucky you might even get a little hand massage taster whilst you’re here.
BeCoorie
Deborah Anderson from BeCoorie will be here with all things cosy!
Sheepskins, bags, candles, home interiors all in one place.
You’ll all know BeCoorie from the scent that hits you when you walk in through our reception.
We get through about 200 of Debbie’s candles each year!
SeaLevel Gin
Sarah Gaudion will be back for the third year running.
Her local gin and limoncello has been flying off our shelves ever since we opened and we do love the fact she’s the island’s first female distiller.
We also love of course, that it’s made in Gorey!
Claire Haithwaite Ceramics
We are also delighted to welcome back another very local artist, potter Claire Haithwaite. If you didn’t know her before, you couldn’t miss her during this year’s Royal Visit when both she and her dog made friends with the The Queen.
Claire will be selling her wonderful hand made pottery, which is made with local clay.
Max Young Photography
Talking of dogs… our favourite animal photographer Max Young is back!
Max doesn’t just photograph animals, but he is especially good at it. And it’s the perfect gift for that friend or family member who’s potty for their dog… like me!
Max got some shots of Maddie last year, when she was a brand new arrival, and they are the best snapshot of her and our joint beginning of time!
The Smokey Shed
Neil and Rebecca Couillard are also back selling their wonderful home cured salmon and biltong!
They swept the floor with their goods last year, and we’re sure they’ll be a sell out again.
And you’ll be able to get your smoked salmon order in in time for Christmas!
And if all that wasn’t enough, we’ll be offering you a taster of our brand new pizza oven which we will be launching in Maddie’s that week!
We’ll also be selling our usual gift cards if you want to gift a meal or a stay this Christmas, and we’ll have fabulous stocking fillers for sale including sleep sprays and mini bottle of Maddie’s Aquavit, made with locally foraged herbs just for us!
So put it in your diary. Even better- put it in your diary, and make a night of it by booking a table in the restaurant too.
